Text you check
Text you paste is processed in memory on our own server to produce a score. It is not saved to a database or a log, it is not used to train any model, and it is not sent to any outside AI service.
Account information
If you create a free account, we store your email address, a one way hashed password (bcrypt), the date you signed up, and daily usage counts (number of checks and characters) so we can apply account limits. Email confirmation and password reset links use short lived tokens, and reset tokens are stored only as a hash. We never see or store your plain password.
Cookies and similar technology
We set one signed, httpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. It is not used for advertising.
Advertising. We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technology to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure ad performance. Third party vendors, including Google, may read and set cookies in your browser for these purposes. You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and you can turn off personalized ads in Google ad settings or opt out of some third party vendors at aboutads.info. When ads are on, we ask for your choice before loading the ad script, and where the law requires it we use a consent tool before any ad cookies are set.
Bot protection. We may use Cloudflare Turnstile on signup, login, password reset and guest checks to tell people from bots. Turnstile reads limited browser and device signals for that purpose only. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
IP addresses
We use your IP address briefly to apply rate limits and prevent abuse, so the free tool stays available for everyone. These counters are kept in memory and are not written to our database.
We email you only for account matters: confirming your email address, password reset links, a note when your password changes, and a confirmation when you delete your account. These messages are sent through our email provider, Resend. We do not send marketing email unless you opt in, and we do not use open or click tracking.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help run the service: Hostinger (hosting), Cloudflare (bot checks), Resend (account email) and Google (ads). We do not sell or rent personal information. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu on the detector page. Deletion removes your email address, password hash, usage counts and any open reset links right away, and we send one confirmation email. Server logs kept by our host are retained for [LOG RETENTION: to set with hosting].
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information by emailing us. Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Economic Area, you may have added rights, and we will honor them as the law requires.
Children
This service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell account holders by email.
